Keratin is a natural protein that makes up 97% of the raw material of the hair. And with such a percentage, not surprising that it also drastically influences the health and the appearance of our hair!

Kératin, what is it?

Made by the body, this protein combines 19 amino acids and is in the composition of nails, skin, hair and teeth enamel. It is also the most important component of a healthy hair since our hair fiber is only made up of that!
It is found in the three layers of the hair: the marrow and the cortex (the interior layers) and the cuticle (the outer layer, composed of scales similar to small fine and flat tiles).

 

 

Why is keratin important?

Keratin plays an essential role in hair health:
